How To Use PluralKit For Beginners

Ah yes. Back to basics! This segmant will show you how to make a system, how to set privacy settings, config it so its easy to use, and how to make it aestheticly pleasing.

To start you are going to want to open a DM with the bot PLURAL KIT.

A little bit of background info before we start, the command prefix is PK! or PK;, I will use PK! in these examples. So lets start by making a system by doing PK!SYSTEM NEW / PK!S N for short

Next lets set an Icon by doing PK!SYSTEM ICON [img in message] or PK!S ICON [img]

Next lets set a banner using PK!SYSTEM BANNER [img] or PK!S SPLASH [img]

We can view our system by doing PK!SYSTEM or PK!S

Next lets set our systems name, PK!SYSTEM NAME [name] or PK!S NAME [name]

CONFIGS

So configs are like the settings, here I will show you what ones will make it easier to use pluralkit! you can do PK!CONFIG to see what they are and what they do!

pk!config ap timeout off pk!config show private off pk!config proxy case off pk!config show color on pk!config capitalize ids pk!config split ids

Privacy for your system

Privacy is important in my humble opinion, So I like to keep some things private and I think you should too, to see what you can make private/public do PK!S PRIVACY

I suggest doing PK!S PRIVACY LIST PRIVATE to make your alter list private so no one can take advantage of it.

Making alter profiles

Next lets make a member, do PK!MEMBER NEW [name] or PK!M N [name]

I suggest keeping names only one word, you can add display names that are multiple words later, to view a member do PK!MEMBER [name] or PK!M [name]

Now we can set an icon and a banner in the same way as system, but using m instead! You can use GIFS as banners!

You can set proxy icons, meaning they wont show up on PK!MEMBER, but instead when they send messages. PK!M [name] PA or PK!MEMBER [name] PA

Next lets set a PROXY! A proxy is what triggers PLURALKIT to send a message as a ceritan ALTER. PK!M [name] PROXY [proxy]text

Next lets make it AETHETIC!! first heres the base profile (PK!M [name])

Lets do: pk!m test privacy name private pk!m test privacy proxy private pk!m test privacy meta private : then see how it looks!

Now lets set the members pronouns, you can do PK!MEMBER [name] PRONOUNS or pk!m [name] prns

And an aesthetic beautiful display name by doing PK!MEMBER [name] DISPLAYNAME [display] or PK!M [name] DN [display]!
